River Valley District
Formed in 1962, The River Valley Local School District serves over 2000 students in Marion and Morrow counties and has a proud tradition of academic achievement. With the construction of completely new facilities for kindergarten through high school in 2003, the River Valley Local School District looks forward to continuing its tradition well into the twenty-first century.
Our school district provides a
challenging and dynamic learning environment that fosters excellence,
opportunity and innovation in meeting the educational needs of our
students and community. River Valley students consistently score high on the current State Testing Models.
Caring and highly qualified teaching and support staff members provide
relevant and challenging learning opportunities for students in an
environment that is safe and respectful.
Special Education and Gifted programs meet the unique needs of learners
at all levels, while expecting excellence from all.
River Valley Community
Located just outside the city of Marion, Ohio, the River Valley community includes the villages of Waldo, Claridon, Caledonia, and Martel as well as part of Marion city. The River Valley district extends into Marion and Morrow counties. The district serves approximately 2000 students and employ more than 200 staff members with two elementary schools, a middle school, a high school and a partnership with Tri-Rivers Career Center.
